MidGlos Inter Club Season

Midglos IBC will  run a two rink “Open” league for outdoor clubs on Wednesday nights during the forthcoming 2024/25 indoor season with a break over the Christmas & New Year period. The actual start time will depend on the number of entries.

The league is an open “double rink” (8 people) competition meaning teams can consist of all ladies, all men, or a mixture of both. Players do not have to be members of Midglos IBC but they do have to be members of your outdoor club.

The duration of the league and the frequency of play will depend on the number of entries. E.g., if there are more than six entrants then clubs will not play every week.

Clubs that may be playing in this “Open” league, in addition to ourselves at Sir Thomas Rich's are: Barnwood, Bishops Cleeve, Caer Glow, Cheltenham, Cheltenham Spa, Churchdown, Coleford, Gloucester City, Former Gloucester Spa, Midglos IBC, Olveston, Pineholt and Tewkesbury.

Prize money has been increased to £200 for the winner, £150 will be awarded to the runner up and £100 to the club who finishes third. Rink fees at Midglos are £4.50 per player per match and £2 for those aged under 25.

Note that you do not need to be a member of Midglos IBC to play in this league.

Precise details of how the league will operate will be given well in advance of the start date, but broad-brush: start time is 7pm and play will be over 14 ends. Each match will be “straight off” with no trial ends and the jack will be re- spotted in the event of a dead end.

Please use the form below to let me know if you are interested in playing.

Kind regards,

Clive
